Huda 3 D Highlighter (Pink Sands)

Today I am reviewing the Huda 3 D Highlighter Palette (Pink Sands), since it feels like the entire world is obsessed with highlighters, I had to see for myself what this is about.

This Highlighter Palette  (Pink Sands shade) is for fair to medium skin tone and comes with 4 shades which is Capri, Santorini, Azores and Ibiza. One cream highlighter and 3 powder highlighters housed in a slip, cardboard palette squared in shape. The instructions on how to use this is listed on the cover of the package.

Capri- this is your prep shade, its creamy which works ideal as your primer and helps enhance the highlighter layers.

Santorini- this is a white and gold undertone that is used to enhance the cream highlighter.

Azores- this is to be used under your cheekbones for that glowy look. It gives dimension and shape to your face.

Ibiza- the instruction indicated to sweep it on your apples of your cheeks for a healthy glow, its a highlighted blush, this is the final step.


What I love about this palette is the fact that each shade can be used as individuals but when combined it complements your face creating that flawless and blended 3 dimensional glow.

This Palette is the BomB!!!! I wore it for the entire night (roughly 6 hrs) and it stayed in place all night, it actually gave me a healthy dewy glow.

All I can say is, its definitely a keeper in my makeup bag. I followed the easy instructions and was pleased with the results so guys, try this product and tell me your views...

Too Faced Melted Matt

As usual, after wearing/ testing a product, I let you know my thoughts about it.

Today I have to report my view on the Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick. This formula promises the staying power of a stain and the color payoff of a liquid lipstick with a matte finish. It also promises to keep your lips moist with Vitamin E oil and Avocado oil.

This package is quite unique and pretty, it is housed in an unusual triangular shaped, clear bottle with a sponge tip application for application.




I tried the Bend &Snap, its a stunning bright raspberry red, that appears super luminous and truly brightens up your face. This is a high pigmented liquid lipstick with a complete matte finish. There is a slight sweet smell, but quite subtle, I like it, its not overpowering. The color is true to what you see in the tube.


At first, they are a little tacky but after a few mins when its completely dry you can't feel your lips. they lasts about 6 hrs  and faded quite nicely during the day without crumbling or doing that awful "butt hole lips" effect, which is pretty cool.


In short, it really an excellent product and i will definitely be purchasing more of this this.. try it and let me know you take of this lipstick..

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit (22)

In  my quest for the perfect liquid lipstick, I ventured upon Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. The online reviews and rave sell this product so much, I knew I had to get my hands on it.

The shade I tried was 22, a bright burnt orange shade, housed in a clear plastic tube with her famous Kylie Jenner signature design. The package also came with a lip liner.

The Lip liner was pigmented and creamy, this was a first for me since most of the lip-liners I tried was dry and for those of you wondering, Yes, you can sharpen the pencil with a regular pencil sharpener.

The Formula of the liquid lipstick is  creamy and highly pigmented, when applied it felt as though I had a second skin as it dried completely matte. The color had a great staying power.

First impression after applying:
It looked like WOW!!, this is the product, I finally won the liquid matte lipstick lottery, but after a few hours, I noticed that my lipstick was cracking and bits of it was falling out. it was challenging to get it off since I hated how the cracking was looking, so I decided to reapply. To reapply I use my finger to blend in the pieces missing, that day I was so eager to go home and remove it. after a couple of makeup remover sheets and some cream, it was all gone.

Pros:
- Long Lasting (well most of it)
- Dries Completely Matte
- Nice Subtle Smell
- Lip liner to die for.

Cons:
- Needs Retouching
- Cracks Easily
- Tends to over-dry
- Hard to get out

Will I purchase again?
Yes!! I need to give another shade a chance to redeem its glory...

Huda Liquid Lipsticks

If you aren't already on board the matte liquid lipstick train, well now its the time to get on it....

Huda Liquid Mattes are some of the most desired on the beauty planet, so desired that as soon as Bella Obsession get their hands on them, its gone within one week..

This creamy, comfortable textured with its long wearing ability formula is  awesome. The Lipsticks is packaged in this cute box with the design of Huda Kattan lips depicting the shade of the Lipstick. It appears as though her lips is holding the tube in place. The Lipstick is housed in a frosted square shaped tube with a black lid.

The shade I tried was vixen, which is a deep brown with red undertone, this formula was super creamy and pigmented. It glided on easily and delivered a complete opacity. It smells great but eventually as it dries the smell fades, the wand is very firm, that ensures a neat application. The Lipstick is quite lasting, however if you eat it does fade away a little.

All and all, this liquid lipstick have made its way to the top of my lips and I might pickup a few more shades since I am in-love with the consistency of the formula...

Kyle Royal Peach Palette

After my previous purchases of Kylie products I had mixed views on this purchase, the rave about this palette was unbelievable, it was like I had to get this . The buying demon in me, came out to play and nothing I said mattered. so I purchase this palette.

Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Eye Shadow Palette includes 12 eye shadows in range of hues( except for the blue) and finishes. This palette also comes with a fluffy brush.

Pros
The colors were amazing, richly pigmented and complemented each other to create daytime and date night/ nighttime looks. It came with a blending crease brush that worked perfectly.

Cons
It did not smell like peaches, smells more like a chemical.

Summary

I love it, I use it alot and never got any sort of allergic reaction due to the smell.. after applied the smell faded away. Will I be purchasing any more of her eye shadows?? Yes...

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Textured Shadows Palette contains eighteen eye shadows with a mix of matte and metallic finishes across mostly warm-toned hues. The metallic eye shadows are very, very dense, with some being drier and dense and others being creamier and dense. The ones that were drier tended to yield chunkier pieces of product that were difficult to apply to the lid, even using fingers as recommended by the brand. They had a tendency to emphasize the texture of my lid, which made the area appear more wrinkled and thicker/uneven. I was able to apply the metallic shades with a damp, flat synthetic brush as well as with fingertips (but the brush gave me a lot more precision). Some shades lasted around eight hours while a few were more prone to fallout and creasing after six hours of wear.What I was more surprised by was just how chalky and thin the matte eye shadows were with some being better and others being worse in practice. I think that the mattes applied better than I expected, but they were quicker to fade and crease within six to seven hours of wear. One shade wasn’t usable at all; the texture felt like velvet, but it yielded almost no coverage at all. It seemed like the pan was so firmly pressed that no powder was able to come off the surface.As for the packaging, I’m not bothered by the use of cardboard for palettes (they absorb impact better than plastic/metal!), even at this price point, however the cardboard used by the brand is some of the lightest weight and cheapest in feel, or felt thin and dented/scuffed easily. Even the clear, plastic lid felt thin and prone to being scratched/dented/torn. For reference, a Z Palette feels 10x sturdier and stronger to me.Try this palette and let me know how you feel about it, mind you, everyone skin type is different especially their oil balance. For instance, the colours may appear different on my eyes since i have combination skin as compared to other persons with dry or oily skin.

Foundation

Today I am reviewing my No.1 go to drugstore brand foundation, L'oreal True match foundation.  This foundation is my go to foundation for the summer. Its super blendable formula and affordable price gives you more than you bargain for as a drugstore brand makeup.

The application was very simple, a damp beauty blender, pumping it all over your face and your done. This product gives you medium coverage so for those stubborn blemishes you may need to build up coverage by applying another layer to your coverage desired. The formula is not to thick in consistency nor too liquidy, its just perfect. As for drying while applying , well it gives you more than enough time to blend and apply a next layer if desired to give you that flawless dewy natural looking skin.





Pros:

SPF 17
last about 6 hours
Wide range of shade for all skin tones

Cons:
Not much cons for this except that you may need a moisturizer below if you have dry skin. And in Trinidad and Tobago the price seems to be rising for this product.

This foundation  is an excellent choice for regular day time activities , its formula helps as a sunscreen protecting your face from the harshness of sunburn. I will definitely give this product a 2 tums up and recommend it to all Bella Obsession's Customers.
